Wangaratta Eyecare have been servicing Wangaratta and surrounds for over 50 years and have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Optical Dispenser / Optical Assistant to join their growing team.

About the role:

This full time role will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, with a rotational Saturday roster (9am to 12pm).  The role will involve a combination of administration and optical dispensing tasks, as you work within a team to meet patient's needs:

  • Provide friendly and efficient reception service to ensure the very best patient experience

  • General practice administration duties

  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping, including overall presentation and cleanliness of the store

  • Ensure that delivery of patient jobs, lens and contact lens orders, and ordering of frames and sundry items is accurate and timely

  • Assist patients in the selection of optical frames considering lifestyle and physical needs

  • Merchandising of optical frames and creating window displays

About you:

We are looking for someone with prior experience within the retail industry.  Whist previous experience in optical dispensing is beneficial, everything can be taught to someone who is motivated and eager to learn.

Applicants must have:

  • Outstanding customer service with a willingness to go the extra mile

  • A love of fashion and eyewear trends

  • Experience with retail and sales

  • An ability to work well within a team or independently

  • Be highly self-motivated and an energetic person with exceptional people skills

  • Availability to work the hours listed, including rotational weekend work
